| Ileostomy Bag or Ileostomy pouch is a replaceable appliance fitted over & above the stoma to collect the human waste through the diverted channel. A wafer like barrier is fitted in to make the stoma output neutral to the skin. Since the patient is not locked into a specific type or brand of bag, in the event of a trouble in using a particular type of bag, another type or brand can be tried with the assistance of the ostomy nurse. |
